Love Letter #10

Hello!  I'm pretty shocked that I haven't updated my blog in so long, September has gone by in a total blur for me!  As happy as I am to be back at uni, my workload for postgrad is so much more intense, so what with juggling that, my new job at the Disney Store and my new role as host to all our friends who've recently moved away from Dundee, I haven't had much time for blogging...  Hopefully I'll soon get back into the swing of things!  In the meantime, here's some lovely pictures for you to enjoy:

When I'm rich, I'm going to have a bar in my house... preferably like this vintage music-themed one from Oh So Lovely Vintage...

Continuing the drinks theme, I love the dapper packaging of these grown up sodas.

This is the perfect autumnal outfit, the coat and the colours are just perfect!

Possibly the dreamiest wedding ever...

All of Jen's cosplay pictures over at Epbot are pretty fantastic, but this little girl is my favourite, flying the flag for girly geeks everywhere!

I wish it was cheaper to order from FredFlare to the UK, because this cheeseboard is pretty adorable!

This made me laugh probably a lot more than it should have...

I'll leave you with this picture of my favourite couple ever, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield... if only Tetley and I serenaded each other on tiny guitars while wearing fancy hats!

What have all of you been up to this week?

Vintage Homes: Mairi's House.

Hey guys!  It's been another hectic week for me - I began my postgraduate studies at university, as well as starting my training for my new part time job at the Disney Store!  Both of these things are super exciting (and pretty terrifying) for me...  The modules I've chosen to study are amazing, though my classes are full of such smart people that I feel like a bit of an imposter, and while working for Disney is my dream job, I hope I can be smiley and bubbly enough to live up to the job's expectations... wish me luck!

A few weeks ago, I shared these photos of my niece Lottie's nursery, but I completely forgot that I also took some pictures of the living room of Mairi's house.  Like the nursery, the living room is super stylish and full of lots of vintage and handmade gems!

Since blogger doesn't cope so well with large images, click on the pictures if you'd like to see them bigger or in higher quality.  I also apologise for the slightly messy room in the first photo - I took these on the day of Lottie's party, so there was very little spare time for tidying up!  Since Mairi's kitchen was ground zero for party prep, I wasn't able to get pictures of it this time, but hopefully I'll get some next time I visit... Mairi's 6-shelf 'Tupperware Museum' is a real highlight...

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far!

Autumn Wishlist.

Hello everyone!  For my first post in September, I feel like it's only fitting to have an autumn theme - autumn is my favourite season, and I think that for me, the beginning of autumn feels more like the start of a new year than the 1st of January.  This is probably due to autumn being the start of the academic year, but there's many other things that make it feel like such an inspirational and exciting time - I love the crisp smell of the air, the beautiful colours of the trees, going out for long walks and getting hot chocolate, having cosy evenings in with comforting homecooked food and great autumn tv (did anyone watch Doctor Who last Saturday by the way, oh my)....  Over the summer, Dundee goes into semi-hibernation when all the students go home, but as soon as Fresher's Week begins the atmosphere in the city completely changes.  Also, the majority of my friends happen to have their birthdays between September and November, so autumn really is the party season for me!

Probably one of the most exciting things about autumn is seeing all the new autumn fashions come into the shops - after months of looking at nothing but pastels, having a new colour palette of clothes to choose from is really quite a relief! I've put together a collection of pieces that I've currently got my eye on, though I feel that this year I'm really spoilt for choice!

I'm in love with everything in the Dear Creatures Autumn collection, but the Chelsea coat and these lovely dresses have to be my favourites!

I'm not usually the biggest fan of gothic style autumn fashion, but I do really love this dress from River Island.

Ruche's Study Hall lookbook is full of adorable back to school inspired outfits like the ones above.

I feel like this coat from Miss Selfridge might soon be making an appearance in my autumn wardrobe...

I recently discovered Sugarhill Boutique and they have so many cute autumnal pieces, I especially love the bow pockets on the coat!

These boots by Jeffrey Campbell have the perfect autumn colour scheme!

Finally, I'm super excited to see the new Modcloth collection designed by Elsie from A Beautiful Mess - I think this dress might be my favourite!

What's your favourite thing from my wishlist?  Are there any clothes you're coveting this autumn?
